More on Commercial Metals FQ4 results

Commercial Metals (CMC -2.8%) reports FQ4 total revenue of $1.41B, this consists of ~$1.22B sales in North America and ~$1.8B in Europe.

Core EBITDA rose 14% sequentially, as North America segment generated adjusted EBITDA of $174.2M, an increase of 14% compared to last year.

Europe adjusted EBITDA was $22.9M, up slightly compared to $22.7M prior, results benefited from a $10.7M carbon credit received during the quarter.

Earnings from continuing operations were $67.8M, or $0.56 EPS, compared to $85.9M, or $0.72 prior year.

Company incurred $27.5M in net after-tax charges, the largest of which related to the post-closing working capital settlement associated with its fiscal 2019 rebar asset acquisition.
