UAE-based open innovation platform Fintech Galaxy has teamed with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to launch an Arab-focussed accelerator program to expand tech start-ups for cross-border expansion.
The Yalla Xtech program will initially focus on Egypt and Jordanian tech-powered startups and help them grow beyond their borders, adding to the startup ecosystem with a keen focus on innovation, competition, and employment efforts in all host countries towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program promotes cross-border inclusion, knowledge sharing, and startups with the necessary tools, resources, and network contacts that help expand towards Egypt and Jordan.
Yalla Xtech program is powered by FinX22 (Fintech Galaxy’s cloud-based open innovation platform) in the hope of speeding up the financial inclusion of local communities and businesses across Jordan and Egypt. The FinX22 platform works in compliance with top international technical standards while offering an open banking API sandbox that enables tech startups across Egypt and Jordan to develop, test, and deploy their apps.
Startups chosen to the two-month Yalla Xtech accelerator program will receive coaching, legal and regulatory guidance, and networking opportunities. These are some of the tools that will help prepare effective expansion strategies while mastering their growth journey across borders.
Egypt has a huge 100 million population and has a vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem within MENA. Jordanian startups can also benefit from the size, proximity, and relatively cheap labor costs offered by Egypt’s market. To participate, startups can drop applications at Yalla Xtech’s online platform www.yallaxtech.com
October 21 is the application deadline and the accelerator begins on October 31.
To all you procrastinators out there, the deadline to participate in #Yalla_Xtech is TODAY.
